Thought For The Day ~ Trust In Trust ~ Repost

“None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we Trust.”  ~ Paul Coelho

T1.jpg

This quote spoke to me, in fact, it hit between the eyes, because it introduced a concept I had not before thought of. It is no secret to any of us, I think, that we all hold some form of Trust issues within us. We would all like to Trust life, people, things, words, ourselves…but in this fast paced and, lately, crazy world, putting our very valuable Trust into any of those things can be risky. And, we can all agree I think, that at one time (or many times), we have been burned and hurt by someone/thing we have Trusted. Each time that happens, it puts a chink in our Trust armor, and we become more and more hesitant to allow it.

T6.jpg

But…if this quote is true…and I believe deep within me it is…then we not only have the “conscious” Trust that we use very day and gauge our lives with…but we have a Natural innate Trust that is always present. Paul Coelho is right…we do not know what will happen in the next moment, or moment to moment, yet we carry on as if we know something we are not completely aware of knowing. That the next moment will come, and bring with it another small piece of our life puzzle that we snap into the picture, and then we move forward again, Trusting the next moment to be there. If we did not have this innate Trust…would we be able to navigate from one moment to the next…Naturally, in this way. Organically. It is our Nature to Trust in Life.

T3.jpg

So, what I am thinking is, we may not be as messed up about Trust as we think we are.

And, consider this…would it be more prudent to put our focus on Trusting our innate Trust…as opposed to focusing on who, what, when, where to Trust. Meaning, we just Trust our Trust to lead us in the right direction. Rather than looking outside of us for validation or permission to Trust, trying to ensure we won’t be hurt…which is near impossible…what if we turn that focus inward and…regardless of the person, circumstance, or thing we are considering to put our Trust in…that we simplyTrust Our Own Trust.

T7.png

This does not mean we will eliminate pain caused by Trust being broken over something…but it does, to me, give great comfort in that…no matter what happens, I will still have my Natural Trust intact…because I Trust in it. And that really can’t be broken, because it is in my hands and soul, not someone else’s. I haven’t given it away hoping it will be held dear and respected…it never leaves me. I just allow someone/thing else to see it and, hopefully, treat it well.

T8.jpg

I feel like I am hopelessly bereft of wording this properly. Wordsmith that I am, I stumble here to “write it right”. But I hope I have gotten the primary thought across. I Trust that you will understand my rambling…and hope I have conveyed it somewhat succinctly. If not, there is always another moment!

Trust In The Self

T6.jpg

“I mean to live my true life, and I embrace the means by which that will happen.” ~ MarDrag

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”  ~ Goethe

“We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.”  ~ Jane Austin

“Self-trust is the first secret of success.”  ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“When I’m trusting and being myself… everything in my life reflects this by falling into place easily, often miraculously.” ~ Shakti Gawain

“Trust that little voice in your head that says “Wouldn’t it be interesting if..”; And then do it.” ~ Duane Michals

T5.jpg

from the Desk of MarDrag:

To trust oneself, especially amid the pressures, obligations and stresses of today’s world…is often difficult. Reading over the quotes above, it sounds so easy, simple really. Doesn’t it? So, why do we struggle so with self-doubt, questioning ourselves and the voice of wisdom that comes from within. There are so many voices, internal and external, telling us what to do, how to do it, how to think or feel, or judging us for how we think and feel. It all gets so muddled, and our true self gets lost in the middle of it somewhere.

When we are faced with these daily challenges, the first thing we tend to do is doubt or question ourselves and our abilities, actions or understandings. Sometimes, it seems the difficulties win out, and we succumb to the overbearing negative voice that can boom so loudly telling us we should not trust ourselves to “get it right”.

T2.jpg

I love Jane Austin’s quote above that says we have an inner guide that is far better for us than any other person, place or thing that we may seek to guide us. In other words, looking within for guidance is the best choice. We have an innate wisdom, an inner wise voice that speaks to us all the time, if we but listen and “attend” to it. If we can take a moment to be quiet, and let that voice surface above all the other static….and give it attention……we can meet our inner guide and get to know them, become friends with that part of ourselves, take them with us as a companion throughout our day, trusting that they will always guide us in the right direction because we know they have our best interests in their heart. They/we want the best for us.

T4.jpg

The greatest gift we can give ourselves is self-trust. To give ourselves the benefit of the doubt and let go of the fear of error. We will make mistakes and wrong choices, but we will succeed if we learn from them, and therefore, build more self-trust. Believe in the value of your thread in the great tapestry, and the reason it is there. There is a reason (I believe) for everything happening in the way that it does, believe in the benefit of the Divine plan. If you believe in that, then you believe in yourself, because we are all an important and critical thread in the Divine tapestry.

T1.jpg

If things are not going “as planned”, look within for your inner guide and let them come forward to show you the way and trust yourself that you will bring yourself through it and triumph. How often in life do we say, Oh, years ago I went through a tough time, but I came out of it a stronger person. Reach out to the inner guide that brought you through it, they will be there again. When we believe in ourselves, when we trust ourselves….no matter what any circumstances around us look like…..we can’t help but do the right thing, and then, everything falls into place naturally. Trust that!

Clarity in the Moment

C2.jpg

There is so much turmoil, confusion, and input designed to keep us confused and distracted that it is difficult to find Moments of Clarity within our days, let alone our Souls and Inner Selves. But…we must not forget that our Personal Power comes from these Moments of Clarity…and make that our daily focus.

c1

Simply this…to ask for Clarity in our daily search for who we are and what we are here to do. If we make Clarity the focus…rather than “how to get out of confusion”…then that moment of Clarity can shine through and find us.

C5.jpg

Today…just one day at a time…change the focus to asking for Clarity…and it will come.

Let It Go & Trust – Yikes!

Let Go2.jpg

This is the message I got this morning, loud and clear. Every morning I do my cleansing and grounding ritual in the shower. As the restorative hot water hits my skin and runs in healing rivulets down my body, awakening my senses, I visualize all the negative energy, pain, and “stuff” I hold onto getting washed away with the water, down, down the drain, releasing it to Mother Earth…who transforms it into energy to be used for a better purpose…and then fill myself with light and love and grounding energy. It helps so much to start the day cleansed, grounded, and clear.

I have some stuff going on, I recently wrote about my “Acceptance” of it and the relief to feel that release of not holding on to an outcome anymore. It is not easy…this Letting Go. But the harder part comes next…to Trust that it will all work out. Yikes! Trust? I thought I just had to Let Go! Wink!

LetGo4

But, behind the letting go does come the need to Trust that it will either work itself out as it is supposed to be OR that I will know what to do when I need to do it to change the thing. So this was the message this morning…

“Let it all go…and let it work in all its perfectness.”

Yikes! But I get it.

There are those times when all the things we do, all the worry we endure, all the suffering we inflict on ourselves about a situation…will change nothing…and we waste all that energy. What if we decided to have fun while waiting for a situation to work out? Who says we have to “suffer through it?” If it is going to work out anyway…??

Let Go3

Of course, there are those times we need to take circumstances and mold and form them, putting in great effort for great success. But…there are times like these…when Letting Go, Waiting, and Trusting…is the only thing to do. And in that case…we have the power to decide what state we wait in and what will benefit our well-being more? Letting Go and Trusting? Or hanging on for dear life with bloodied hands and heart.

So I take a deeeeep breath…Let It Go…and Trust in the process and that my Higher Self and Powers will see me through until resolution comes. Ok now…Breathe…

Have Faith and Live For Today

In this crazy, chaotic, and often times harsh world we live in today, it is sometimes hard to hold on to the belief that there is still good around us. That belief takes Faith…in ourselves and in others. Remember, just because we do not see it does not mean it is not present and lurking, waiting to “be seen”. All it takes is for us to change our perspective and live in the moment…choosing to have Faith in that moment…and string those moments together to create a web of positive energy to wrap around us and carry us to the next moment. It does not matter if no one else is doing it. We must do it for ourselves, showing others by action that it is possible.

Have Faith…in your ability to Shine. And know that  your Light has purpose and effect. Live for today, in the moment, and let that inner Light glow. Blessings!

Weekend Inspiration ~ Respect

Respect 13Good Morning! I hope you are all looking forward to a lovely weekend. Today’s topic was a source of many conversations this past week, as it seems this issue is coming up for many people. It is clear that Respect is suffering in the dynamic our society has taken these days. I do not want to sound preachy here…and go on about how we should Respect ourselves and others…because deep down, we all know this. But it has become increasingly difficult to keep this simple yet powerful concept alive, and in my opinion, it is one of the main reasons we have such strife in the world. We have forgotten how to Respect each other. So…this is just a gentle reminder that…everyone has their path, their troubles, their challenges…and if we can remember that and have Respect for each other…then it makes walking that path so much easier. And, of course, that Respect begins with ourselves. From Self-Respect flows Tolerance, Love, and Acceptance. Give yourself that gift today…and pass it on to others. Blessings!

Thoughts For The Day

It has been a busy week…and so I offer one more repost of a favorite Thoughts For The Day for you to enjoy. May it speak to you now as it did last year.  As things slow down with the end of the week, I look forward to writing more for you. Have a wonderful Thursday! And may Magic fill your day today. Blessings!

______

TH 1
“None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we Trust.” ~ Paul Coelho

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

This quote really caught my attention…because most people these days have an issue with Trust. It is not an easy world to Trust in, and people have become less Trustworthy. BUT…yet, we still go forward, everyday, we forge ahead. So we must have an innate bottomless well of Trust…or most of us would not go on at all. This is profound cause for pondering because Fear would have us believe it is difficult to Trust. When really…we have been Trusting all along. It is where we put our Trust that counts, of course. But it was comforting to know that we do still have the ability to Trust…naturally, organically. Think about it!

TH 2

“You were born to be real, not to be perfect. You are here to be you, not to be what someone else wants you to be. Stand up for yourself, look them in the eye and say, Don’t judge me until you know me, Don’t underestimate me until you have challenged me, and Don’t talk about me until you have talked to me.” ~ Author Unknown

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

Do not let a single person, place, thing, action, thought, or word keep you from Being You. Do You…the best You can be. No matter what anyone else thinks or says…believe in who you are…Your True Self. This does not mean we do not strive to change or adjust what we need to heal or make better about ourselves…but we do it in the context of Being Our Self. Make the effort to find out who that True Self is…and live it! True Self is not perfect…it just IS…it is Real.

TH 3

“The secret to happiness is to count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles.” ~ Joseph Addison

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

Everyone has a mix of blessings and troubles in their life. It is relative to each individual “how much” of either they have. But Happiness does not come from having less troubles and more blessings. We may speak to someone who has more troubles than we do, yet they speak of the positive in their life and feel blessed, despite their issues. We may speak to another who focuses on their troubles and cannot see the blessings that are around them.

Which way would you choose to live? In the equation of life, what do you prefer to add up to reach the sum of Happiness?

Blessings!

Weekend Inspiration ~ Self-Talk

ST 15

How much are we aware of, or do we really listen to, our Self-Talk? Would we say to others the things we say silently to ourselves? Would we speak to a loved one the way we speak to ourselves? And are we as hard on others as we are on ourselves?

Self-Talk is so incredibly important, and yet, it is likely we spend little time considering what that dialogue actually is and how it affects us and our growth and success. So today, let’s Listen to our inner voice, the one we have those daily conversations with, and pay close attention to what those words are. Because it is those words that make our lives what they are…and if we are unhappy with that, than let’s change the script. We write those thoughts, we create them, we manifest them…so we can do a rewrite anytime we choose.

Make the next chapter about Love of the Self, Acceptance, and Trust.  And only write the inner dialogue that supports those things. We should remember to talk to ourselves as we would a loved one…because, are we not the first one we should tell we love? Blessings!

Monday Message ~ Faith In The Future 2

Good Monday Morning! I am doing something a little different with my Monday Message post today. As I look over my stats for the blog, I can see what topics are most read. In the past few weeks, I have noticed a spike in people searching out the following post…so I decided to re-post it for our Monday Message as it appears many want/need to hear it. It is timely, given what we have been talking about here. So enjoy the post…and come back tomorrow for another blog about Transitions that has been begging to be written all weekend! I sincerely hope these help you get through the tunnel so many are going through right now. And remember…there is always, always the Light at the end of the tunnel. Stay with it…the best is yet to come! Blessings!

~~~~~~
Today I felt the call to seek my “Gifts of Affirmations” cards by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber and see what message they have for us today. As always, the card I pulled speaks to us as we navigate through this awkward and difficult time. The card I pulled was…
Faith 1
Gift of The New:   “I Have Faith In The Future I Cannot See”
Message: “ Use this gift when you are worried or anxious. These feelings are usually caused by our attachment to either a particular outcome or to wanting to know exactly how things are going to turn out. We have the power to change our future. How many of our past worries never came to pass?”
from The Desk of MarDrag:
With all that is going on in our lives and the world right now, it is hard not to worry and have anxiety. But consider that…so much of that worry is anticipation about what might happen and how we will be able to handle it. We can spin many tales in our minds and hearts about the “worst case scenario”, and then hold on to it, creating deep anxiety and stress. And sometimes, that energy helps to create what we are most afraid of, because that is what is foremost in our minds.
So, consider the act of staying in the moment and not projecting into the future. In this very moment, are you ok? Is what you are worrying about still just a thought, or has it happened? Is there still a chance a solution can be found? Have you worried in the past about something that never happened? Do you worry to the point of damaging your quality of life?
There is a saying: For every problem there is an equal solution. A problem cannot exist without its counterpart, the solution, or then it would not be a problem. Believe that. Every problem absolutely has an equal solution. It is called the Law of Polarity. There is an opposite side to everything. If a problem exists…then the opposite of it, or solution, must also exist.
Now, focus on the Belief in the solution, instead of just focusing on the problem, and the channels open up so the solution can flow through. That is where the Power is. And in doing this, we eliminate all those moments, hours and days of anxiety and we retain some quality of life as we go through the difficulty.
Faith 2
Just because we can’t see a solution in the moment…does not mean it is not there. And just because we have a problem(s) does not mean we have to allow it to color every area of our life, or define us, or feel bad about ourselves, or lose our daily dose of joy or peace. Do not give the problem that much Power. Keep your Power for the solution.
Have Faith that the future you cannot see contains what you need and desire…and that energy will help to create those things rather than building on the problem. Have Faith that, just as you have done before, you will pass through your difficulty and thrive.
Blessings!
