It’s Time To Be…

…Just Me and We. The planet is in turmoil and there is a lot to be done to help and save her…but the most important thing we can do to contribute to the magnificent energy needed to sway us toward the Light and Positive Action is…To Be Our Authentic and True Selves. Don’t fall into the trap of following the “norm”…be You…Be…

Weekend Inspiration ~ Self-Esteem

In yesterday’s post, there is a quote about Self-Esteem and Self-Worth, letting us know that it is best to look to the Self for the quality of those. And that we should not look to others or anything outside ourselves for validation of who we are and how much Self-Esteem we have for ourselves. Sometimes, this is difficult, as we have many reflections, through our work, family, spouses, circumstances, etc. But…know that, all of those “voices” do not know us like we do. We listen to those voices and often make their view our own…when it is not how we really feel.  This weekend, quiet those voices and consider our own Self-Talk, and pay attention to what our own voice says…because it is that voice within us that has the most power to make us feel good or bad about ourselves. If that inner voice tells us anything other than how magnificent we are, then lets take a deeper look at ourselves, and focus on all those magnificent and wonderful aspects of who we are. There is plenty of time to focus on the negative. (more time than we should spend!). So this weekend, let us focus on those things we love about ourselves…and let our Self-Esteem soar. Here is some inspiration to get us started. Be your Be-You-tiful selves! Blessings!

Weekend Inspiration ~ Self-Talk

ST 15

How much are we aware of, or do we really listen to, our Self-Talk? Would we say to others the things we say silently to ourselves? Would we speak to a loved one the way we speak to ourselves? And are we as hard on others as we are on ourselves?

Self-Talk is so incredibly important, and yet, it is likely we spend little time considering what that dialogue actually is and how it affects us and our growth and success. So today, let’s Listen to our inner voice, the one we have those daily conversations with, and pay close attention to what those words are. Because it is those words that make our lives what they are…and if we are unhappy with that, than let’s change the script. We write those thoughts, we create them, we manifest them…so we can do a rewrite anytime we choose.

Make the next chapter about Love of the Self, Acceptance, and Trust.  And only write the inner dialogue that supports those things. We should remember to talk to ourselves as we would a loved one…because, are we not the first one we should tell we love? Blessings!

Thoughts for The Day (repost)

Good Morning! I have been battling a nasty head cold this week that has left my head in a fog…with only thoughts left wrapped in a haze of…well, you get it.  So, I offer you a repost of one of my favorite “Thoughts For The Day” blogs and hope it speaks to you again today. My Love and Warm Thoughts are with you as always. Blessings!

_______

Spirit 1

“Spirituality is to be found and nurtured in the smallest of daily activities. The Spirituality that feeds the soul and ultimately heals our psychological wounds may be found in those sacred objects that dress themselves in the accoutrements of the ordinary.”  ~ Thomas Moore

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

Spirituality and Healing , though it can at times, does not always come in a blaze of light or a volcanic aha moment. Spirituality  and Healing is in everything that we do, it is all around us…in the feel of the fur on the pets that we run our hands through. It is in the kisses we bestow on our spouses, children and loved ones though out the day. It is in the laughter that gurgles up from our chests when they do or say something funny. Healing is in the sad song we hear that brings tears to our eyes. It is in the spices that we put in the food we prepare. It is in the small activities we sometimes take for granted, or even dislike. It is in the love we feel for our families and friends. It is in the very breath we breathe that gives us life. So…look for your Spirit and Healing in all those mundane and, as Thomas Moore says, those “ordinary” things that when looked upon through the Soul, show the magic held within.

Spirit 2

“The ultimate lesson all of us have to learn is unconditional love, which includes not only others, but ourselves as well.”  ~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

And it is when we look to those “ordinary” things and find joy, peace, spirit, and healing that we find the source of Unconditional Love. Absolutely unlimited sources of Love and Harmony are built into the senses we use each and every day. Can you find it?

Spirit 3

“We all need empty hours in our lives or we will have no time to create or dream.”  ~ Robert Coles

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

We live in a fast paced world ruled by technology and gadgets and all manner of things that keep us distracted and looking outside ourselves for validation…and to keep busy. “Busy” is the new buzz word. But where would all of these “things” and ideas have come from, but for a man or woman who spent some time alone and quiet to dare to dream them up? Empty hours do not equal non-productive moments. It means we are aware enough to know that great things come from ordinary minds that take the time to sit quiet, reflect…and Dream. Take your time.

Blessings!

On Self-Acceptance

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.” ~ Albert Einstein

Self 5

from The Desk of MarDrag:

~ We should not judge ourselves for what we can not do, or what we are not, or what our limitations are…but embrace ourselves for all that we CAN do, and exactly what and who we are. Focusing on what we do not know makes us feel stupid…and takes away the courage to learn. We end up feeling inadequate, when there are so many things we DO know.  Acknowledge that you do not know everything…but that you are a genius at what you do know!

Self 3

~ Take a moment to reflect on your self and all the qualities that make you who you are. And accept them. If there are things you want to change, then set about changing them. But the essence of who you are is your life blood. Learn to be comfortable with your essence, accepting your limitations while honoring your strengths. Put your attention on those strengths and they will grow. Just as putting attention on your weaknesses will make them grow. When you feel your mind stray to the chatter that keeps negative energy alive, consciously switch your mind to focus on one of your strengths and remind yourself of your genius in that strength. Remember, no one does it like you do! Celebrate all that you are. Be grateful for what you are blessed with in life, focus on what does work, and build on that.

Self 1

~ And then take that moment, and accept who you are, right then and there, and if just for that moment, be good enough, know that you are the greatest you, and that you are growing all the while. Be grateful for all that you have, and for the challenges that make you more than who you thought you could be.

Self 2

“You are very powerful, provided you know how powerful you are.” ~ Yogi Bhajan
