“You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It’s just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.” ~ Paulo Coelho
“Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~ A fresh pot of coffee you didn’t make yourself…. An unexpected phone call from an old friend…. Green stoplights on your way to work…. The fastest line at the grocery store…. A good sing-along song on the radio… Your keys found right where you left them.” ~ Julia M. Chambers
We rise each morning, and from the time our feet hit the ground, we are running…taking care of family, business and life. Daily routines can get to be…routine. We move through the motions on auto pilot, without too much thought, as our movements are familiar daily actions. And certainly, there are many of these activities that are mundane but necessary. The thing is though…that we are not mundane beings. And each day is not routine…today is not the same as yesterday…unless we make it so.
Every new day is another chance to make of it what we desire. And…the way to make it a special day…is by “looking” at it through the eyes of our Spirits, and not just the eyes of the human we are that is getting through all our obligations. We have within us this Spirit, this Spiritual Warrior, and yet we forget to have them front and center with us every day, to look at life through those eyes.
Know that…just as we are each unique individuals…so too is each day unique and individual. Walk into the day knowing and believing that everything we do has a higher purpose. Every movement, every action, every smile, every task…and every body….has a higher purpose than the one we see right before our human eyes. If we can remember this daily, and live by this, than our perspective on our daily lives changes…is raised up to a higher plane where we recognize the importance of living through Spirit and where we see things through a clear, loving eye.
Do and see absolutely everything with the knowledge that it all has a Higher Purpose. Even if we do not see what that is immediately. And look at those small things that happen that make our days a little brighter, a little better, as the miracles that they are. The parking space you wanted, the smile from the clerk, the person who holds a door, the items on sale at the store…all of these and more are the little daily miracles we forget to acknowledge…but when added up…bring new meaning into our days.
Look around today, and see how many miracles you can spot…and at the end of the day…see how it makes a difference. And, make the shift to look through the eyes of your Spirit Self, and see how different things may look.
