From My Heart To Yours

TY 4

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend, fitting in some recreation as well as rejuvenation and you are feeling rested and ready to go. Or…you partied your hearts out and are running late because you did not get enough sleep. Either way…I hope you had the weekend you wanted and deserved.

Usually, in the beginning of the week, I post a message that gives us a bit of wisdom to take into the week…but today I wanted to do something a little different. I want to make this post…ALL ABOUT YOU…

…and say…THANK YOU! When I first started this blog I was not sure anyone would read it. I had been writing an inspiration page for another blog and was inspired to start my own. I did not even tag the posts at first…I was shy!…so I only had a handful of followers. That’s ok. If the messages reached a few and helped, then the purpose of the words were accomplished. When I finally began tagging the posts and following others, my blog began to grow. I was most excited when stats said I was being read in other countries. Pretty cool.

By no means is my blog an overachiever…but I have reached a couple of milestones I am pleased about…and I want to THANK ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL READERS who take the time out of your busy complicated days to come here and read these words. What is even more amazing and wonderful, is that you let me know they make a difference in your lives. THAT…is the coolest!

TY 1

So the message I send you into the week with is….one of GRATITUDE…My Gratitude…for YOU! I do not know how else to explain this, but…I have somehow been Blessed with a huge heart. It overflows with Love and Compassion for people, all people…and this heart needed to reach out and touch others…and this blog is one way to do that. I hope you feel the Love in the words I write…and know that, it is for you that I write them. When I ask for inspiration for a post, I ask…what do my readers want or need to hear today. And the message flows…and I write…and I hope that it touches whoever reads it.

These are tense and often overwhelming times we live in. It is my deep and profound wish and Life Purpose to help people get through it, to find that place of peace within themselves, to be inspired, or to find comfort from the words I write and the work I do. If I could, I would wrap my arms around each one of you and hold you until all your fears and doubts melted away. Since I can’t physically do that…I try to do it with my words…and I hope you feel that.

So, as you move through your life today, know there is one here who is Grateful for your presence on this Earth and knows, without knowing you, how important you are to the Balance of the Tapestry of Life. And know how important you are to me and my little blog…and how much I appreciate you being here.

You are Unique…You are Important…You are Appreciated! Know this, beyond any doubt. Doubt does not change this fact, no matter how hard it tries. YOU are MAGNIFICENT!!

Weekend Inspiration ~ Gratitude

Happy Weekend! This weekend’s inspiration is brought to you by Gratitude. I firmly believe that Gratitude is important to remember and cultivate into our every day lives. It is often hard to be Grateful when we are going through difficulties or we have not achieved or received what we want out of life. Or if the road to that achievement is strewn with rocks and potholes. BUT…Gratitude softens those blows, it softens the heart, and it reminds us that…even though our lives may not be perfect, if we look closely, there are many small things to be Grateful for that, strung together, make up a fine tapestry of joy and peace.

Go into your weekend looking at all those things you can be Grateful for…and to help get you started, here are some lovely and profound quotes:

Sunday Gratitude

Sunday 1

I have such Love in my heart this morning…I have to share it. I take it in my hands and fling it out into the blogosphere like so many tiny sparks of Light…and I hope it showers all of you and you feel the warmth and brightness of that Love.

I am so Grateful…for all that is in my life. The great things, the challenges, and the people that fill my heart. YOU…My Readers…are a special group that fills my heart and soul. I want to Thank You for coming to my blog and reading my words, and letting me know they fill your life in some way. That fills my life, my soul, so much. The best part of my day is wandering through your blogs too, and finding such wisdom, honesty, courage, and creativity there.

I am so grateful too…for my clients…I am so honored that you put your Trust in me…and that I am one who Gets To walk with you for awhile on your Journey and watch you grow, unfolding like a rare flower. You mean so much to me.

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Thank you so much ladies! Both of these women have wonderful blogs and I encourage you to go take a look and a read.  I am honored and humbled they chose my little blog for these awards. It is important to give each other support here in the blogosphere…and I appreciate receiving such a gift from them.

I know I am supposed to share some things about myself and post other blogs I recommend. The latter I can do…but those of you who read here can get a sense of who I am through my writing so I won’t bore you with any of the more mundane details!

Here are 5 blogs I strongly recommend reading:

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

And finally…I would like to say THANK YOU to all of you who come to read here, comment and share your wisdom, and find something to take with you through your day. I appreciate everyone…you are all Special and Unique beings…never forget that! Know that I send Love & Light to you all…along with wishes for the best to you in life. You all deserve it!

Thoughts For The Day

Thoughts 1“You may have a fresh start at any moment you choose, for this thing that we call “failure” is not the falling down, but the staying down.”  ~ Mary Pickford

MarDrag’s Thoughts: I love this quote for its simple truth. We all fall down sometimes in life, or things do not work out as we planned or expected. We are quick to call ourselves failures and become depressed or feel hopeless. But…it is only failure if we fall…and stay down. If we fall and wallow in the muck of misery…we inevitably will get stuck and make it harder to get out of it. If we can look at the falls we have, or the mistakes we make, or the sometimes unfortunate turn things can take as stepping stones to get to where we are meant to go…then we can not fail at all…for all those things contain messages and lessons that, if learned, make us that much more ready to move on to be a success. And…at any moment…we can decide to step out of the muck and have a fresh start. Go ahead…lift your foot…and take the step!

Thoughts 2

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”  ~ Gandhi

MarDrag’s Thoughts: We cannot possibly find happiness, or be happy, if the things we think, say, and do are at odds with each other. If we say one thing but do another…we are not living in truth. Even worse is when we think one way, but say and do another. We are only fooling ourselves in these cases, and render a constant state of confusion, for ourselves and for those around us. Strive for alignment of the mind, heart, soul and body. Be honest, with everyone but most importantly your Self…and you will find Balance…which leads to Harmony.

Thoughts 3

“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”  ~ Buddha

MarDrag’s Thoughts: In my opinion, we as a society have forgotten to be there for each other…we have forgotten that we are all connected. And even further…we have forgotten that we need each other and need to work together to make this world a better place to live in. It seems it is “every man for himself” today and that there is a fear that if we give something of ourselves, we are giving it away never to see it again, and we fear we will lack. But as Buddha says…Happiness and Kindness never decreases when shared. In fact, I believe it increases when shared. Today…share a little bit of your happiness with someone…and see it grow within and around you. Light that candle.

Thoughts 4

“There is a calmness to a life lived in gratitude, a quiet joy.”  ~ Ralph Blum

MarDrag’s Thoughts: Be grateful for the gift of your life. Always racing on the next best thing takes a lot of energy and does not guarantee happiness and satisfaction. Be grateful for what you do have. Within that grateful glow is a sense of peace…like you can stop for a moment and enjoy what you have already achieved. Experience the calm and the joy of Gratitude.

Thoughts For The Day

Imagination 1

“First comes thought; then organization of that thought into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.”  ~ Napoleon Hill

MarDrag’s Thoughts:  All the thoughts, actions, efforts and hard work we put into our desires and dreams would cease to exist as we know them…if not for the Imagination we have that started the process, that gave spark to the idea, in the first place. DARE TO IMAGINE!

See 1

“Change the way you look at things, and the thing you look at changes.”  ~ Author Unknown

MarDrag’s Thoughts: I have said this so many times that I could be that “Author Unknown”! This lesson was a difficult one for me to learn, but when I did, it changed everything. There is another quote too, by H.M. Tomlinson that says, “We see things not as they are, but as we are.” So, we see things through the eyes and souls of our personal experiences. But, if we strive to “see” without preconceived notion, judgment or particular perception…then we see the real clarity…the honest truth of the thing…and it can change what we see…and therefore, our decisions and choices. When we look from within…or work on the parts of ourselves that require healing…it truly does change the way we “see”…and then, what we are looking at, changes too.

Appreciation 2

“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather, recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~ Frederick Keonig

MarDrag’s Thoughts: Gratitude is such an important thing to make part of our daily lives. In the midst of chaos or difficulty, we focus on the cause of that strife…and we often forget that it is not the totality of our life. It is one puzzle piece in the greater puzzle that makes up our lives. And it is important that we remember to offer up Gratitude for all those other puzzle pieces that are in place and helping to make our lives work. If you are having trouble finding something to be Grateful for…start with the fact that you woke up this morning and are able to read this post! Appreciation for what we have creates a flow that will bring us more of what we Appreciate.

Smiles 1

“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure, but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.”  ~ Joseph Addison

MarDrag’s Thoughts: It is sad to me that…when walking around out in the world these days…I see so many downcast faces, averted eyes, and frowns. Few people smile anymore…or say good morning…or offer a pleasantry.  My heart goes out to them. So…I try to smile a lot…and I find people respond to those smiles. I understand people are no longer accustomed to kindnesses. But, with just a Brilliant Smile, we can win them over! We all need them…and do not get enough of them. So give it a try. Put a Smile on today…and perhaps change someone’s day completely…even your own!

Now…let me take a moment to say how Grateful I am for all of you that come to read here and Appreciate my work with “likes” and comments. I am Grateful for your blogs too…that give me joy and teach me. May your day be Full of Blessings and Smiles! And let me leave you with one of mine to start your day!
