What To Believe In ~ Repost

B4.jpg

That is a question I have heard a great many people sounding out lately. Everywhere, in all corners of our lovely Mother Earth…”stuff” is happening. Unsettling things, events we never imagined, people and governments doing wild and erratic things…and it feels like the energy is only ramping up…and we wonder how to deal with it all, how we will continue to forge our own paths. In the midst of our confusion lies an impossible conundrum…

What To Believe In…Anymore.

B5.jpg

I read a headline this week that said we have lost hope and have nothing more to Believe in. And I want to challenge that headline here. Because we absolutely DO have something left to Believe in. Even in the face of such things we appear to have no control over…we still have something solid, steady, and powerful to Believe in. And that is…Ourselves!

B2.jpg

We may feel we are at a low point, and when we look out into the world, there is precious little to stake our hope and belief in the future on. And So…if we cannot find Belief out there…the most profound and sacred choice would be to…Believe in Ourselves.

B1.jpg

Believe that we can still retain our Inner Light, our Inner Peace, and our Inner True Soul and Self…because nothing and no one can ever take those from us. And with those, we can still forge our lives in the best way we can to follow our paths…which we still can…and must…do.

B7.jpg

By Believing in ourselves even in the face of all this confusion, it keeps the concept, the energy of Believe alive and real and resonates in the air and energy around us.

B4.jpg

We cannot allow Belief and Hope to die. We must keep it alive, within ourselves, so that…no matter what…we still have US, our lives, and the Love and Light that we shine. It can and will make a difference. We must not stop Believing in that.

B3.png

NO MATTER WHAT WE THINK IS OR ISN’T OUT THERE TO BELIEVE IN ANYMORE…THE MOST IMPORTANT AND LIFE AFFIRMING BELIEF…IS IN OURSELVES. THAT IS WHO AND WHAT WE BELIEVE IN…AND THAT CAN CHANGE ANYTHING!

Blessings!

Trust In The Self

T6.jpg

“I mean to live my true life, and I embrace the means by which that will happen.” ~ MarDrag

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”  ~ Goethe

“We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.”  ~ Jane Austin

“Self-trust is the first secret of success.”  ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“When I’m trusting and being myself… everything in my life reflects this by falling into place easily, often miraculously.” ~ Shakti Gawain

“Trust that little voice in your head that says “Wouldn’t it be interesting if..”; And then do it.” ~ Duane Michals

T5.jpg

from the Desk of MarDrag:

To trust oneself, especially amid the pressures, obligations and stresses of today’s world…is often difficult. Reading over the quotes above, it sounds so easy, simple really. Doesn’t it? So, why do we struggle so with self-doubt, questioning ourselves and the voice of wisdom that comes from within. There are so many voices, internal and external, telling us what to do, how to do it, how to think or feel, or judging us for how we think and feel. It all gets so muddled, and our true self gets lost in the middle of it somewhere.

When we are faced with these daily challenges, the first thing we tend to do is doubt or question ourselves and our abilities, actions or understandings. Sometimes, it seems the difficulties win out, and we succumb to the overbearing negative voice that can boom so loudly telling us we should not trust ourselves to “get it right”.

T2.jpg

I love Jane Austin’s quote above that says we have an inner guide that is far better for us than any other person, place or thing that we may seek to guide us. In other words, looking within for guidance is the best choice. We have an innate wisdom, an inner wise voice that speaks to us all the time, if we but listen and “attend” to it. If we can take a moment to be quiet, and let that voice surface above all the other static….and give it attention……we can meet our inner guide and get to know them, become friends with that part of ourselves, take them with us as a companion throughout our day, trusting that they will always guide us in the right direction because we know they have our best interests in their heart. They/we want the best for us.

T4.jpg

The greatest gift we can give ourselves is self-trust. To give ourselves the benefit of the doubt and let go of the fear of error. We will make mistakes and wrong choices, but we will succeed if we learn from them, and therefore, build more self-trust. Believe in the value of your thread in the great tapestry, and the reason it is there. There is a reason (I believe) for everything happening in the way that it does, believe in the benefit of the Divine plan. If you believe in that, then you believe in yourself, because we are all an important and critical thread in the Divine tapestry.

T1.jpg

If things are not going “as planned”, look within for your inner guide and let them come forward to show you the way and trust yourself that you will bring yourself through it and triumph. How often in life do we say, Oh, years ago I went through a tough time, but I came out of it a stronger person. Reach out to the inner guide that brought you through it, they will be there again. When we believe in ourselves, when we trust ourselves….no matter what any circumstances around us look like…..we can’t help but do the right thing, and then, everything falls into place naturally. Trust that!

EGBOK ~ Really! ~ Repost

E1.jpg

Did reading that make you giggle just a little bit and say whaaa…? It has a good sound, like something you want to repeat a couple of times because it rolls off your tongue in a cheeky kind of way. (See what I did there?) Anyway, I learned this at a self-help seminar many years ago, when they were all the rage, but it stuck with me and I have used it many times over the years. I do not know if there is an “author” or inventor of this little gem to give credit to, I do not know the origin of it, but if there is, consider yourself credited and thanked for this little quip that may sound funny but carries a potent message. It seemed a good thing to say today.

Repeat this affirmation as many times as you need to today…and pass it on. It is easy to say when you can’t get all the words out yourself. And, it can make a difference.

Stay Steady~Think Peace~Be Love

I am going to leave this blog up through tomorrow, with an added message to Stay Steady on your path to the Light. Do not let the negative or hostile energy sway you from what you know is true and what will help and save us. Which is Love, Light, and Peace.

Stay Steady in Love…Stay Steady in Thoughts for Peace…Stay Steady in your Light!!

Blessings and Love to All!

P1.jpg

As we move into this weekend and next week, tensions are high and we are all thinking about what the future holds and how we are going to navigate through it all. Certainly, no matter what happens, there will be an onslaught of energy.

But also…no matter what happens…we have the power, our Personal Power…to have our immediate space and surroundings filled with what we wish it to be. We all have our Personal Space, radiating about 3 feet out and around us. Let us draw a boundary around that space and declare that within it…we will think and feel only Peace and Love. We may not be able to “get everyone” to think this way…but we can get ourselves to do so…and create the energy with which we can remain Steady…in Peace and in Love.

p2

If each of us do this…that Peace and Love will touch the next one and grow, then touch the next one, and grow ever wider, and can then spread across the landscape and reach others. We must not allow the dark and negative energy to permeate us and cast us off our path or dim our Light.

p4

P5.jpg

So…no matter what…think Peace…and Be Love. It is the only thing that will keep us Balanced, Steady, and Moving in the Right Direction. Even when it looks like everything else is falling apart.

An Energy Shift

M1.png

Yesterday we had a rare Full Moon called a Super Moon, and it came in the sign of Aries. I won’t go into all the details about Super Moons and the Aries connection…you can look all that information up on that there Google thingy. 🙂 But I did want to mention it today because…it is the beginning of a major energy shift…into the Positive Energy phase.

M2.jpg

Whether you believe in this type of thing or not…it still lends a wonderful message to begin our week with. Whether any of this is “true”, I personally believe in the power of the universe, planets, our suns and moons and how they relate to our energy flow. It is all connected as we are all connected and then connected to all things in the universe so…well, you get it.

M4.jpg

Soooo, let us take this opportunity to Believe that we can harness this shift in energy to the Positive phase…because we really need it now. AND, it is said that what we believe we create.

m3

Let us move into this week Believing we are in a Positive Energy Phase and draw that into ourselves, our minds, our hearts, our souls and, at least, change our negative thoughts to positive. It DOES make a difference, in our own lives…and in the world.

M5.jpg

We must Believe this negative energy right out of our existence and Believe Positive Energy back in. We CAN do it. We MUST do it. Stay Steady, Compassionate, and Strong!!

Steady On

S1.jpg

There is so much muck thrown at us each and every day that it is difficult to not be distracted by it all and thrown off our true focus and course.

S8.png

For today, and one day at a time, strive to not be distracted by the negative energy, the histrionics, the actions and words of dastardly people who would have us forget what we are really here for.

S2.jpg

Remember that we are meant to be here to Love, Be Loved, and Live in Harmony. Our Higher Purpose, for each of us, is far more important than the rhetoric and shenanigans of negativity.

s3

If we all do that, even for a little bit each day, that space for positive will grow and grow.

S4.jpg

Focus on your Strengths and Visions…don’t let anyone or anything tell you it has to be this way and that you can not effect change.

S5.jpg

Do not be distracted or diverted from your Life Purpose, your True Path and Self…because of what you “hear”.

S6.jpg

And draw that Power and Energy into you, into the world…that is what is needed to redirect where we are going.

S7.jpg

If each of us do this, we CAN choose a different outcome.

Be You!!

Friday Poetry ~ Spring

Yesterday was the Spring Equinox, the first day that Spring shows herself…though in many areas that cold old man winter is still blowing. But…the promise of warmth is upon us…and to celebrate that, I offer you a poem, and a wish for a bountiful season. Blessings!

Spring 1

Spring Goddess

She wakes

And stretches long and graceful

She reaches her arms toward the Sun

Looking, yearning for warmth

She looks upon the barren land

And searches for the Light

That will shine

And cause the blossoms to form

The grass to grow green

And the rivers to flow free of ice

Then slowly

As She wakes from her slumber

The Earth feels Her stir

Bursts forth in a song of Life

And comes alive with Her touch

The touch of

The Goddess called Spring

Our Source For This Life

I have been out of my office this week, taking some necessary time for myself, a break to rejuvenate and reconnect with myself. I do not do this very often…certainly not often enough…but that is a condition of this current age, is it not? We are busy and our lives are full of a great many things to manage. But…I write and teach about taking time for oneself…and so, I took myself at my own word…and arranged some time for me.

As I was spending time in Meditation, something very profound came over me, and I wanted to share it.

We are all called daily to give of ourselves…and though we likely do not do so enough…we should remember to give back to ourselves and do/think those things that fill us back up and Rejuvenate us…so we do not become overwhelmed, depleted, and ultimately empty. As I was doing these things for myself, one of them being Meditation, a new clarity started to open up about WHAT it is that we fill ourselves with. We all have our personal interests and spiritual food…but I began to ask a different question. From where does that come?

Source 1

And the answer that came booming over me while deep in Meditation was…SOURCE. Our Source. Our own individual Source. That is…we as separate individual beings have a Source…our own direct Source. We learn about THE Source…whatever that means to each one of us, whether it be God, Goddess, Higher Powers, Universe, Earth, Spirit, etc…or all of the above! But in this Meditation…the meaning of Source presented itself in an absolute condensed focus…and I was shown my own individual line of Source…that was my connection and only mine. In other words, we pray to and draw from the Greater Source…but there is also our own personal Source, just for this life. Every being has their own unique Source, the point of energy where we begin and end. That line of Source is only for that individual, for that life and that life alone…and it is what feeds us.

So, when we look to be Rejuvenated…whether we can “get away” or not…all we need do is call to “Our Source” to flow into us and fill us up. The “doing” of that which revitalizes us is a pleasure, and we need to do that…but, it is the opening up to our own particular line of Source that truly fills us…and we need nothing, no one, and nowhere to access it.

I feel like I am hopelessly stumbling on the words to convey these thoughts…excruciating for a writer! So let me try a visual with an analogy! The Earth is filled with people, the sky with stars.

Source 4

For every person on the planet, there is a star in the heavens that is their own individual point of light. Visualize that there is a thread connecting each person to each star.

Source 3

The threads run smoothly through the heavens, never getting tangled, because at the Source, there is always balance and harmony. Through that thread runs our energy, vitality, spiritual nourishment. Our star is our own star, and feeds no one but us. The Greater Source feeds everyone, including our own star/source…but this one particular star…is just for us. Our own Source…always ready and full to send us what we need. It is never depleted. It can never be broken. And it will never leave us or fail us. And it knows exactly what we need. We need not fear to Trust it.

So…we have prayed or asked or begged of the Greater Source, and we all have, with differing results. But think of the possibilities once we realize, in absolute Knowing, that our own line of Source is there too. It confirms our place in the world, the universe. Even if we are lost within ourselves…our place in the universe is not lost. So we are always connected to and anchored in…our Source.

Source 5

Just as Nature is the Greater Source for a river…it still springs forth from it’s own Source point of rock, stream, or pond, etc. And so too…though we are all part of and can draw on the Greater Source…we still have our own individual Source of this one Life we have to live. Perhaps it is time to remember and become more aware of and reclaim that Source. For that Source embodies our Destiny, our True Life Purpose, and the Essence of who we Truly Are.

Call to that Source, Receive the flow, and see what happens.

Blessings!

In Honor of Mothers

“Mothers and their children are in a category all their own. There’s no bond so strong in the entire world. No love so instantaneous and forgiving.”  ~ Gail Tsukiyama

“Mothers can forgive anything! Tell me all, and be sure that I will never let you go, though the whole world should turn from you.”   ~ Louisa May Alcott

“If you have a mom, there is nowhere you are likely to go where a prayer has not already been.”  ~ Robert Brault

Sweater, n. Garment worn by child when its mother is feeling chilly.”  ~ Ambrose Bierce

“The most remarkable thing about my mother is that for thirty years she served the family nothing but leftovers. The original meal has never been found.”  ~ Calvin Trillin

“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”  ~ Abraham Lincoln

“There’s no bitch on earth like a mother frightened for her kids.”  ~ Stephen King

“When your mother asks, “Do you want a piece of advice?” it’s a mere formality. It doesn’t matter if you answer yes or no. You’re going to get it anyway.”  ~ Erma Bombeck

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” ~ Washington Irving

Mothers 1

from The Desk of MarDrag:

As we enter a weekend that leads to Mother’s Day on Sunday, today’s post pays homage to those special and ever enduring loves of our lives…our Mothers…of which I am one. All of the above quotes state so well the attributes of Mothers and embrace the wide variety of the different characters we take on to handle, resolve, or be there in all the different situations and circumstances we are faced with every day. And we would not have it any other way.

We are all the things our families and loved ones need us to be…at any given moment…and our love is boundless. So too, is our forgiveness, and ability to look deeply and, even at the toughest moment, still love.

A Mothers love is vast…our capacity to endure limitless…and our protection impenetrable.

Mothers 2

As you celebrate your Mother this weekend, let her know you know these things about her, and they are appreciated. And…as you honor her…remember this too…

Just as we have that Wiser Self, Higher Self, and Inner Voice within us…we also have the Inner Child and…the Inner Parent. So, remember to add to your day a little acknowledgement to your own Inner Mother/Parent for being there within you to help guide you, to pass on special wisdom, and to tell you to put a sweater on because it might rain. Just as our own Mothers would do anything for us and be there for us…so too is our Inner Mother ready to be there to support us, and give us love.

So, let us honor ALL the Mothers, Step Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Grandmothers, Great Grandmothers, Mothers In Law, Daughter Mothers, Mothers of the Animal Children and Inner Mothers…for from them all springs Life and Love…and with that Hope. Let us Nurture every Mother as she has Nurtured us. And let us not forget to honor that one last Mother on the list…our Mother Earth…who hangs in the heavens and supports us, just so we can have Life.

Mother 4

Visit here again tomorrow for a Mothers Day Greeting and a lovely, humorous story!
