Clarity in the Moment

C2.jpg

There is so much turmoil, confusion, and input designed to keep us confused and distracted that it is difficult to find Moments of Clarity within our days, let alone our Souls and Inner Selves. But…we must not forget that our Personal Power comes from these Moments of Clarity…and make that our daily focus.

c1

Simply this…to ask for Clarity in our daily search for who we are and what we are here to do. If we make Clarity the focus…rather than “how to get out of confusion”…then that moment of Clarity can shine through and find us.

Today…just one day at a time…change the focus to asking for Clarity…and it will come.

Monday Message ~ Flow

Happy Monday my Good Readers! I hope you had a wonderful…and Comforting…weekend. It is the start of the week, so our Monday Message post is at hand. This time, we are seeking our message from the Runes…so I plunge my hand into the bag of stones and pull one for us. Pulling “The Book of Runes” by Ralph Blum to me…I set down the stone and see that it is…

Laguz 1

Laguz:   “Flow, Water, That Which Conducts”

Message (paraphrased): “Unseen powers are active here, creative and fertile powers of Nature. The attributes of this Rune are water, fluidity, the ebb and flow of tides and emotions, of careers and relationships. Laguz fulfills our need to immerse ourselves in the experience of living without having to evaluate or understand. It speaks to the desire for comfort and the satisfaction of emotional needs, to the lunar side of our nature. For, while the sun strives for differentiation, the moon draws us toward unity and merging.

This Rune often signals a time for cleansing: for revaluing, reorganizing, realigning. A Rune of deep knowing, Laguz may call you to study spiritual matters in readiness for self-transformation. Success now lies in contacting your intuitive knowing, in attuning to your own rhythms. A Rune of the Self relating rightly to the Self, Laguz signifies what alchemists called the conjunctio, or sacred marriage. In fairy tales, it is the end where the hero and heroine live happily ever after”.

Laguz 2

from The Desk of MarDrag:

So, the start of the message this week is to still “go with the flow”…a reminder that we all need to hear sometimes. It is often difficult to go with the flow, especially if it appears the flow is taking us other than where we think we want to go. We question, ponder, and seek answers…but at times, it is called for to keep moving whether we have all the answers or fully understand or not. There are times when understanding does not come until we have moved through the circumstance. Would we hold our flow back or stop it for this?

Laguz 3

The word “Comfort” also comes up here, and I have been feeling this for everyone. I wish I could hold all of you in my arms, stroke your hair, and whisper comforting words to you. I think we all need a great deal of Comfort in these difficult days, but mostly get precious little of it. That is why it is so important to remember we can give Comfort to ourselves. Yes, it is nice to get it from others, but if we can’t, then we should not let ourselves down by withholding it from ourselves. Seek Comfort!

Laguz 4

And finally…we will find a deeper understanding, or knowing, as we take time to reorganize any chaotic thoughts, or chaos in our surroundings. With cleansing comes clarity. Do deep breathing exercises, meditate, or do cleansing and grounding exercises. Make them part of our daily routine. In doing these, we access our intuitive side and find our own unique rhythm. Make the time! Because, with this, we form a deeper relationship with the Self…and in coming together with our True Self…magic happens…and fairy tales, dreams, and desires come true!

Weekend Inspiration ~ Acceptance

Acceptance is often a difficult concept. We can be confused by its messages as well. Do we accept things as they are or try to change them? If we accept them, will they bring us down? If we do not accept them, will they crash in on us anyway?

I believe that Acceptance of all things is the key to Happiness. As some of these quotes below allude to…the first step in change or growth…is to Accept how it is to begin with. From that Acceptance comes Clarity. And from that Clarity comes Understanding. And from Understanding comes better Choices.

Accept 8

Accept 1

Accept 2

Acceptance does not indicate weakness. It does not mean we are giving up on anything. It simply means we are Strong enough to see things for what they truly are so that we can be better informed and clearly present. When we can Accept things as they are in the moment…then we can make better decisions about how to move forward.

Accept 3

Accept 6

It is at the moment of complete Acceptance that Change can occur.

Accept 9

Accept 7

Acceptance takes us past denial and allows us to be more deeply in touch with our lives and what is really happening. Which leads us to a deeper wisdom…and always leads to better choices.

Accept 4

The greatest Acceptance is Self-Acceptance…for when we Accept ourselves for who we are at this very moment…then we know Unconditional Love…and we can give it to ourselves and share it with others.

praise

And from this springs the Happiness, Peace, and Harmony we are searching for.

Thoughts For The Day

Thur 1

“Every thought creates form on some level and all that our physical experience is – is a reflection of our thoughts.” ~ Marianne Williamson

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

We have all heard this quote in one form or another – that our thoughts manifest in the physical and become our reality. That our lives are a reflection of our thoughts. Which I believe is true. But consider, that a reflection is the thing turned around, flipped over, so it is the perception of the reflection that we see, not the original thought. That is why some manifestations do not look like what we “thought we thought”. And too, if our thoughts are not clear and true…if we are not completely honest with ourselves through our thoughts…then the reflection might be of a buried thought we deny, in an effort to make something happen. (i.e. Trying to manifest success and wondering why it does not happen, when the deeper thought (that manifests) is that of failure. The true belief is that we will fail, and that is what manifests).

Now, if we hold up a mirror to the reflection of the original thought and to ourselves, we will see with clarity what the true thought that manifested is and why. So, hold up that mirror to your thoughts, and make sure they are the ones you want manifest. And look in that mirror to your True Self for the thoughts you would have become your life. Does this make any sense? ::Looking in the mirror…::  😉

“Love does not obey our expectations, it obeys our intentions.” ~ Lloyd Strom

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

Expectation is, simply put, one person’s version of what might happen, or what they want to happen. Expectations bear no power on the reality of the outcome…which is why Expectations are seldom fulfilled exactly as we perceive them. Let Love be the Intention…and Expectations will disappear…because the Love is already there. Expectation only gets in the way of the manifesting of what we want to create. So don’t Expect Love, BE Love.

Thur 4

“We all have the extraordinary coded within us…waiting to be released.” ~ Jean Houston

MarDrags’ Thoughts:

Each and every one of us…ALL of you…are Extraordinary and Unique. For what is Extraordinary but…Ordinary with a bit of Extra mixed in. And we ALL have a bit of Extra within us, waiting to be released and used to make our lives, and the world, a better place. What is that Extra thing within you? Take a look…and Unleash your Extraordinary!

Thoughts For The Day

Imagination 1

“First comes thought; then organization of that thought into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.”  ~ Napoleon Hill

MarDrag’s Thoughts:  All the thoughts, actions, efforts and hard work we put into our desires and dreams would cease to exist as we know them…if not for the Imagination we have that started the process, that gave spark to the idea, in the first place. DARE TO IMAGINE!

See 1

“Change the way you look at things, and the thing you look at changes.”  ~ Author Unknown

MarDrag’s Thoughts: I have said this so many times that I could be that “Author Unknown”! This lesson was a difficult one for me to learn, but when I did, it changed everything. There is another quote too, by H.M. Tomlinson that says, “We see things not as they are, but as we are.” So, we see things through the eyes and souls of our personal experiences. But, if we strive to “see” without preconceived notion, judgment or particular perception…then we see the real clarity…the honest truth of the thing…and it can change what we see…and therefore, our decisions and choices. When we look from within…or work on the parts of ourselves that require healing…it truly does change the way we “see”…and then, what we are looking at, changes too.

Appreciation 2

“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather, recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~ Frederick Keonig

MarDrag’s Thoughts: Gratitude is such an important thing to make part of our daily lives. In the midst of chaos or difficulty, we focus on the cause of that strife…and we often forget that it is not the totality of our life. It is one puzzle piece in the greater puzzle that makes up our lives. And it is important that we remember to offer up Gratitude for all those other puzzle pieces that are in place and helping to make our lives work. If you are having trouble finding something to be Grateful for…start with the fact that you woke up this morning and are able to read this post! Appreciation for what we have creates a flow that will bring us more of what we Appreciate.

Smiles 1

“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure, but scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.”  ~ Joseph Addison

MarDrag’s Thoughts: It is sad to me that…when walking around out in the world these days…I see so many downcast faces, averted eyes, and frowns. Few people smile anymore…or say good morning…or offer a pleasantry.  My heart goes out to them. So…I try to smile a lot…and I find people respond to those smiles. I understand people are no longer accustomed to kindnesses. But, with just a Brilliant Smile, we can win them over! We all need them…and do not get enough of them. So give it a try. Put a Smile on today…and perhaps change someone’s day completely…even your own!

Now…let me take a moment to say how Grateful I am for all of you that come to read here and Appreciate my work with “likes” and comments. I am Grateful for your blogs too…that give me joy and teach me. May your day be Full of Blessings and Smiles! And let me leave you with one of mine to start your day!

The Life of A Problem

“Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them.”  ~ Steve Maraboli

“The best way out is always through.”  ~ Robert Frost

“Every problem is a gift – without problems we would not grow.”  ~ Anthony Robbins

“Every solution to every problem is simple. It’s the distance between the two where the mystery lies.”  ~ Derek Landy

“If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.”  ~ Dalai Lama XIV

***“The universe is so well balanced that the mere fact that you have a problem also serves as a sign that there is a solution.”  ~ Steve Maraboli

from The Desk of MarDrag:

Problems…we all have them. Life is wrought with them. There is no escape from them. And, sometimes, just when we think we are free of them, another one (or many) crop up to remind us that life is about growth. And as Tony Robbins says above, without problems, we would not grow. If everything was always “all right” and we never had any adversity in our lives, we could not stretch our minds, hearts and souls to see what we are capable of or to hone our life skills.

But, sometimes the problems life brings us are overwhelming, and it is often easy to get buried in them. We are busy in our lives, and when problems arise, it takes energy and thought to work them out and find resolutions. Or so we have been taught. We spend a great deal of thought, energy and worry on problems; thinking about them picking them apart, judging them, trying to come up with solutions, or simply worrying about them and feeling anxiety because we don’t have a solution. By the time we spend all of this effort on a problem, we are exhausted and often discouraged or depressed and feel stuck, or that there is no way out. We spend all this time, effort and energy focusing on the problem…keeping it alive…and very possibly blocking the arrival of the solution.

So, consider this…You can not solve a problem at the level of the problem. You have to rise above it to see the other levels around it. If we stay parallel to the problem, then our focus is aimed only at the issue and the clarity surrounding it stays fuzzy and unreadable.

The trick is to take our focus and direct our attention to attaining that clarity. To focus on the clearing…not the solving. There is always another way to look at a problem, another view, even when our conscious mind says there is not, or can’t see it. We sometimes need to look with our heart and soul, not always with our mind and eyes. God, Spirit, the Higher Powers all already know the solution. If we can stay clear, and step out of the way, then we can receive those answers and Divine thought can reach us.

My favorite quote above is the last one by Steve Maraboli…that the fact there is a problem in the first place gives us proof that there is a solution to it. For, by Law of Polarity in the universe (two sides to everything), there is no problem that does not have a corresponding solution.

Don’t give Life to the problem…make your Life and its Power to overcome bigger than the problem.

Since everyone is different, each must find their own way to “rise above” a problem and seek clarity. But, I do have a little daily mantra that has helped me to change my focus that I will share with you, and perhaps it can help you too. Or, write your own, or search for something you can say to yourself that will change your focus when you find yourself immersed too deeply in a problem and are unable to clear your mind and step away from it to allow the solution to flow to you. Here is that mantra:

Just for today, I release myself from anger and fear

Just for today, I release myself from worry

I give thanks for my many Blessings

I live well, and cultivate my true life with grace and joy

Blessed are my family, friends and teachers

I rise above  (I have had this many years and do not recall where I read it or its author)

If you are facing a problem (as we all are), use this mantra to help clear your mind. Or find what will work for you, and see yourself stepping out of the way of the problem so that its ever present and corresponding solution can make itself known…and you will have the clarity to see it. And you will know the Balance of life in its true form.

Blessings!
