“The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend.” ~Henri Bergson, Philosopher
This quote has been the subject of many hours of ponder and musing. In its own words, it seems simple…but is it really? Must we see first then, to comprehend…or must we comprehend in order to see. If the eye sees only what we can comprehend…then how do we expand that limitation to be able to comprehend what we have yet to see. And isn’t that what invention does? Comprehension, or understanding must come in the inventor’s mind before the eye can see what an inventor creates. Right?
Can we comprehend that we can see much more than we do with the sight we look through every day?
Blessings to you all today!!
