from The Desk of MarDrag:
As we enter a weekend that leads to Mother’s Day on Sunday, today’s post pays homage to those special and ever enduring loves of our lives…our Mothers…of which I am one. All of the above quotes state so well the attributes of Mothers and embraces the wide variety of the different characters we take on to handle, resolve, or be there in all the different situations and circumstances we are faced with every day. And we would not have it any other way.
We are all the things our families and loved ones need us to be…at any given moment…and our love is boundless. So too, is our forgiveness, and ability to look deeply and, even at the toughest moment, still love.
A Mothers love is vast…our capacity to endure limitless…and our protection impenetrable.
And remember this too…
Just as we have that Wiser Self, Higher Self, and Inner Voice within us…we also have the Inner Child and…the Inner Parent. So, remember to add to your day a little acknowledgement to your own Inner Mother/Parent for being there within you to help guide you, to pass on special wisdom, and to tell you to put a sweater on because it might rain. Just as our own Mothers would do anything for us and be there for us…so too is our Inner Mother is ready to be there to support us, and give us love.
So, let us honor ALL the Mothers, Step Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Grandmothers, Great Grandmothers, Mothers In Law, Daughter Mothers, Mothers of the Animal Children and Inner Mothers…for from them all springs Life and Love…and with that Hope. Let us Nurture every Mother as she has Nurtured us. And let us not forget to honor that one last Mother on the list…our Mother Earth…who hangs in the heavens and supports us, just so we can have Life.
