A True Life

“Let go of expectations and live the life you were destined for. Peace comes only when we are true to our soul’s nature.”  ~ Unknown Author

“Do not forget that you are who you decided to be.”  ~ Stephanie Cook

“Struggles are required in order to survive in life, because in order to stand up, you have to know what falling down is like.”  ~ Unknown Author

“You all know the saying which is very true: What you resist persists. And I’m sure many of you have already found that out in your life. And then suddenly when you let go of resistance you let go of an attachment to something: I need this to happen in order to be happy; I don’t want what is, I want something else. To be okay with what is, which is the simplicity of this moment, is the beginning of true change.”  ~ Eckhart Tolle

“The universe is a stage on which your mind dances with your body, guided by your heart.”  ~ Yogi Bhajan

“The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.”  ~ Wayne Dyer

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”  ~ Albert Einstein

from The Desk of MarDrag:

Inspiration this week has been frequent, and focused on a particular topic. That doesn’t happen too often, so when the Higher Powers so profoundly speak, I must listen. So, there is one last message this week on the topic of Destiny and Life Purpose. It is the thing that goes hand in hand with them….A True Life.

It is a deep question to ask of ourselves….if we are living our true life. And more importantly, when we ask that question, we must be completely honest with our answer within our hearts and souls. It does not mean we have to do anything with that answer immediately…just that we allow ourselves to consider the idea.

I said in previous posts this week how important I believe it is becoming to strive to be our authentic selves. To add that positive energy to the world to help balance all the lies and negative energy that abounds. Thoughts, words and actions have Power, so by living our true lives and fulfilling our true purpose, no matter what it is, we contribute to that balance. And the world is terribly out of balance and in trouble right now. Consider that, by changing your life, you change the world too.

Contemplate and ponder the totality and accumulation of your life experiences, for they have led you to this moment. What happens to us is part of our destiny and imperative to our understanding that they lead us to where we are meant to be. Without that, we have no direction. We would meander through life not knowing where we are going or why we are not getting there….or even that there is a There.

We all have a “greater story” than the life story we are living at this moment…unless you are already living your true purpose. Even then, the path grows further. But…with all the difficulties we endure, all the stress we bear, all the negative we tolerate…and even the good things that are a part of our life…..we still have a greater story being woven into that Great Tapestry. And there is a magnificent glow that awaits us when we choose to take up our Torch of Destiny.

Let go. Don’t resist. Let life come to you. Don’t force life, or a door to open. Stand before it and ask if it is the right door. If it is….it will open for you. If it is not, another door nearby will hear you and open to show you the way. Maybe not your way, but the way that is best for you. Sometimes, “my way” is not what is meant to be, but the way that comes turns out to be the “Best” way.

Is there something that has been on your mind that you have always wanted to do, but never did because “life” got in the way? Is there something you started but never finished? Is there a flame of thought that you think might serve people but never fanned it because you think it/ you are not good enough? Is there something you have always “known” about yourself, but never took the time to explore and cultivate it? What was it as a child that you yearned to grow up and be? What did you think your life passion was then, and now? What is that one thing that you are sure you are so good at, but don’t choose to do?

These are a few questions to help you ponder…this is the stuff of epiphanies and realizations…..and they can lead us to where we are meant to go. To that True Life we are meant to live. And, to the self-happiness and the betterment of the world should we choose to go….There.

Blessings!

  1. Happy Saturday 🙂

I’m at a friends, “helping her move”. I like this kind of help. All im doing is holding her dog and mine while the movers do the actual move . It is such a nice day out here. She lives so close to the beach, maybe my dog and i go for walk down the beach, when i get done the move.

They are both so good, i can type and look after them with no problem 🙂

I hope everyone has a nice day, i will come back later. I may need to help with more, pretty soon.

      • I helped with more than that after the movers left, but not nearly enough. She still had long ways to go when i left, but i had to leave at some point. She was grateful and both BooBoo and I were beat. That’s why i don’t understand why am i awake so early this morning. Hmm maybe i slept very deep and well, so rested faster? Who knows. I will try to sleep again, although i am feeling hungry now.

I hope you have a good morning 🙂

      • have breakfast then go lay down and watch a movie and snooze! 🙂

When I worked a corporate job it was always hard to sleep in on the weekends no matter how tired I was.It gets ingrained to wake early.

Good luck with napping today! 😀

  2. Hi there!

This is my favorite line: “Consider that, by changing your life, you change the world too.” I get what you mean by that and it’s profound and truthful.

Wow, today’s blog was chock full. Really enjoyable. It’s funny how this week had a theme, so to speak.

I really, REALLY like the questions you pose in the end. I suspect answering those questions require courage.

Thank so much for a terrific blog today! oxox

    • Hi Boobah…yes, this week sure had a theme! And I had a whopper of a dream last night too!

I am glad you liked this piece and related to it. And yes, those questions take courage, but the reward when the answers come can be astounding!

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!! Hugs! 😀

  3. So. I’m trying to read the post and watch SNL at the same time.
    CAN NOT BE DONE.

I will come back tmro and read- this is a very intense message,
and I feel like I owe you the respect to give it 100%. you always
give us 100%, it’s the least we can do for you.

I have 2 funerals tmro. The Mom’s of best/very good friends.
How do you divide time out that you don’t have? And care for
your own ailing parent? you can’t. something has to give. And
I should be sleeping right now so that I’m not the master Bitch
    tmro.

Please, my friends, wish me luck. My life/circumstances is/are getting
NUTS!!!! I am actually laughing right now. I’m grateful
for the ability to do that. I’m grateful for the place that this is.

as my kid would say “kiss kiss- peace out”

  4. This may be a bit silly, but when i read the words “let go” my shoulder relaxed. I guess i took that literally right away. So true though, let… It… GO! Relax and wait, why stress, why worry. I like too that don’t force a door to open, it will open. This one is to make me stop to think for a second. I am trying to not let things happen toe any more, instead i am working on making things happen. This is very new for me, so i am still trying to figure that out. So when i want something i want to do something about it (as in the past, i would t even think i wanted something let alone get it) i would feel blessed and grateful for the good things that came my way (specially if they required to apparent action from me) and hurt by the bad things that came my way. Funny how if bad i felt i brought it to myself, if good i felt it was life not me. That is another story 😛 but what i was saying is that now that i am paying attention and want to take action to make things happen, i feel i am forcing things. So reading this about not forcing a door, i am thinking that i still need to find that balance. I need to go for what i want, but not force it. If it is a struggle, there may be another way to do it, or i need to wait a little longer before taking action. OR is not meant to be. Hhmm something to think about.

I like your questions, they are making me ponder. I feel this is the time to ask myself those questions. Then take action to fulfill my life. It won’t be over night, but it is good to take the steps tours it. Besides, it is all about journey 🙂

    • Balance….that is the key word you used here Cali. Letting go and allowing things to happen the way they are meant to is important, but, we also need to “live” our lives and take action where we see fit. However…if the action we are taking is a struggle or forcing our way through, that is when we need to face that door and ask if it is the right one.

I get what you are saying about making things happen in your life, and how that is new for you. And that is a good thing for you….but if there is stress on it, or it is not working the way you think it should, relax and let go of it and let IT tell you what action to take.

Finally…growth and self-empowerment never happens overnight…so don’t be in a rush. It is, indeed, about the journey.

It sounds like you are on a very good journey! Well done!

Hope you have a lovely Sunday! 🙂

      • So…little ChickaDee….stop trying to “work so hard” at it…and let go and let IT come to YOU. Strong willed is good…until it gets in your way. Don’t try so hard….allow yourself to “relax into it”.

Believe me…I know that one. Spent MANY years of my life in “my hard head”, until I got that the answers could not come through all those layers of mortar. 🙂

Consider this….it takes far less energy to let go than it does to hold on. And ultimately, it is far easier once you let that first finger go, the rest come off naturally.

But…you are doing fine too….so be gentle with yourself. You deserve that!! 🙂

        Love & Hugs!

      • LOL….(((((JustDee)))))….we will never let you fall. We will all flap our wings furiously and fly out to save you and support you back into the nest! 🙂

You are funny ChickADee……I enjoy your humor! Hope you are enjoying your time at home. HUGS!
