from the Desk of MarDrag:
There are so many things in this life right now to make us sad, anxious, frustrated, unhappy and depressed. All of which make us frown. We have to deal with all of these things on a daily basis and it can tap our strength and make our moods sour. There are many ways to handle all of these difficulties and help ourselves to not dissolve into despair or gloom about them….but the quickest one…..is a Smile.
A Smile is….Simple, it is Direct, it is Free, it is readily Available, it is easy to Obtain, you can have as Many as you want, it has No Calories, it takes very little Effort….and it has the Greatest Impact of anything that we can do to change our energy, or the energy of someone else who may need it.
As you go about starting your day today, and you look in the mirror to wash your face…Smile at yourself. If you feel silly, laugh, and Smile again, and feel that little bubble of outlandish snicker gurgle up from your belly and fizzle up through your chest and break out over your face into an even bigger grin. Even if you have to make yourself start the first one, once you do it, you will find it is easier than you thought. Just for that few seconds, put all your troubles behind that Smile, and give yourself that break.
Then, carry that Smile with you through your day. One of those Smiles that you might give someone else…your spouse, your children, a random clerk, a neighbor, the mailman, the bank teller, anyone you might meet today….could change their whole day and make it better. Think how amazingly powerful that is, and you are, for helping to change one persons day….just with your Dazzling Smile.
And the first person to try that with…is You!
Go ahead….I’ll start!
